Not much to be said about this. A collection of very good art from the AD&D game that had been used through the time of publication. A very fine retrospective of the art that had been used. I think some of the biggest draw to the early TSR games was their selection of art and artist. If you have not seen this by all means do.
Movie:
Aladdin as most all the world knows is an animated movie by Walt Disney dealing with a street urchin, a sultan, a princess, a djinn and and the evil Jafar. The setting is what makes this part of the challenge. I am going to try and suggest a movie that will evoke ideas for gaming. There is no setting better than the swirling sands of pseudo-arabia. Most games are western centric so applying a little but of the east makes for a sense of awe and wonder.
Plot Hook:
Assassins target one of the player characters and fails. During the altercation the assassin either becomes captured or mortally wounded. If captured they will kill themselves using poison. In either case the assassin will let slip a clue to who hired them. The party, should they choose to investigate, will find that they have been the victim of mistaken identity which will lead them into a much larger going on. If they choose not to the attacks will of course continue.
Magic Item:
Anvil of Accuracy - This apparently mundane anvil is actually an item crafted by an expert dwarven craftsman from many centuries past. Weapons and armor created using this anvil will always be of the highest quality even if made by a bad blacksmith. They will command at double normal market value for their quality and craftsmanship. There is also a 5% chance per week that a weapon or suit of armor crafted using the anvil will absorb some of the anvils magic be magical in nature. To determine what suit or weapon was enchanted the DM can roll at random on the appropriate table or decide so as to have it as a game element.
"Go to the sign of Marvel's Axe, a dubious inn on the edge of the Thieves Quarter, in the City of Greyhawk, and look to your own wrist. If you perceive a bracelet and dangling dice, watch for the next throw in the war between Law and Chaos and be prepared to follow the compelling geas." -Signal
